Secretary
The one who started it all. After noticing a post on her university's community group page, she jumped to action. What was thought to be one kitten under a coffee shop, became a mum cat, five kittens and 2 and a half months of late nights and checking traps. Hisses to Purrs was born and she hasn't looked back!

Alicia's husband and the handy one. His love of cats and handy ideas has lead to many iterations of our foster spaces. Glen was put in charge to make sure that Alicia's temptation to say yes is kept in check!
Mardi A.
Treasurer
While only a member for less than two years, Mardi has become the backbone of Hisses to Purrs. She's our number's gal, matches Alicia's crafting obsession and has the patience of a saint. She also won a Southern Volunteers Award in 2025 - a true sign of just how valuable she is!

We exist to bridge the gap between a harsh life on the streets and the comfort of a forever home. Driven by the same passion that started our journey five years ago, our mission is to step into the quiet corners of our community to protect its most vulnerable cats. From emergency medical care and premium food to a cozy bed, we provide a complete safety net for strays. We are here to transform their fear into trust, rewriting their stories so that every frightened hiss safely becomes a happy purr.
